Grants Innovation Fund Promoting BusinessGeographic Requirements. Applicants are required to be selling to, buying from, or offering services to residents within Amalima Loko’s targeted districts: Binga, Lupane, Nkayi, Tsholotsho North, and Hwange (see Annex B).
Legally Registered Entities. Applicants must be legally registered in Zimbabwe as a private company, NGO, trust, cooperative, or association. Proof of registration is a pre-requisite for receiving grant resources. Amalima Loko will not award grants funds to selected applicants until registration is obtained. 

Experience. Entities must have at least three years of being active as a company or organization in the proposed sector of the activity.

Collaboration, Learning and Adapting (CLA) Lead
  • Master’s or PhD degree in related field highly preferred plus a minimum of (3) three years relevant work experience; or
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience is required.
  • Professional experience to include qualitative and quantitative research and assessments, report writing and presentations, M&E systems development and implementation, and facilitation of knowledge sharing workshops or events.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the integration of CLA into field programming is required, experience conducting such programming in Zimbabwe or similar country context is strongly preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with a variety of external stakeholders including the host country government, international donors, and private sector.
  • Experience developing and applying resources to create, capture, organize, and share knowledge across technical sectors, multiple donors, private investors, and within project activities and staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agriculture, livelihoods, resilience and/or food security programming preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing dynamic feedback systems to capture experiential learning and unintended consequences.
  • Experience with international donor projects, especially USAID and Food for Peace, preferred.
  • Strong English language skills required, knowledge of languages spoken in Matabeleland North preferred but not required.
